DRP Twin 30 Weekend Notes

The USST will be participating in twin 30 lap features this Saturday, July 5th at Dells Raceway Park (DRP).  The first feature will be run early in the show, with our second feature just prior to the Wisconsin Challenge Series (WCS) main event.  They are expecting a huge field of Super Lates, in addition to their weekly competitors, should be a great day of racing.

In speaking with DRP owners, they indicated their show declines in value for any series less than 16 competitors.  I indicated to them that we should be right around that number, we need each and everyone of you to come out and enjoy a great facility, have some fun and support the USST.   Failure to maintain our truck counts results in lost purse to the drivers, and destroys the integrity of the series, and ability to schedule future events at the facilities we are fortunate to compete at.

Pit admissions will open at noon, with practice beginning at 2 PM.  Qualifying is tentatively scheduled for 4:30 PM, first green flag drops at 7 PM.

Transponders will be used for scoring, please bring yours with if you have one.  If you don’t have one, DRP is willing to allow us use of their transponders, no charge.  Drivers License is necessary for deposit on transponder.

The pit fee will be $30, not including the driver registration fee.

The tires you qualify on, must be run through both feature events.  If you need to rotate a new tire, please seek approval from a USST official.

The twin 30 lap feature concept will allow the USST to make up rained out events, without having to pay additional pit fees, make an extra tow, purchase extra tires and struggle to get into race programs that are already full.  I hope you all support this idea, it’s done with your bottom line in mind!!  If you have any ideas or issues with running the event as such, please share them with me.  We will consider for future events.

Thanks again for your support of USST racing and look forward to seeing all of you at DRP on Saturday.
